Accent Marketing Services LLC plans to double its employment to about 4,000 jobs as part of an initiative announced Thursday with federal officials.
Tim Searcy, CEO of Jeffersonville, Ind.-based Accent, said the company is joining with others across the country to create 100,000 contact-center jobs through the national jobs4america initiative.
Accent currently employs about 750 people at its locations in Jeffersonville and New Albany. The company is building a 34,000-square-foot facility at Jeffersonville Town Center, near Veterans Parkway, to house at least 650 of those workers. As part of its expansion, about 175 additional jobs will be created in Southern Indiana.
