Two major US contact center closings contribute to negative job creation

CHAPEL HILL, N.C., May 4, 2014  Between January 1, 2014 and March 31, 2014,
jobs4america recorded a negative 2,050 net new US contact center jobs created.

 “After two great years in a row and almost 180,000 new jobs created, we are optimistic that this is a small bump in the road for the US Contact Center industry,” stated Matt Zemon, Chairman of jobs4america and CEO of America Support.  “Multiple companies are recognizing the advantages of having their calls answered by US based agents,” Zemon continued.  “We fully expect to see these numbers bounce back in the second quarter.”

Jobs4america uses data compiled by Dallas-based Site Selection Group to record US job creation. 
For quarter one, the results are:
